"The work on Tenggara (at least for the time being) has been finished and I must say that Aaron's workmanship is superb. I have seen the carcass of Pollyanna and appreciate what an enormous job the rebuilding will be. It will keep Aaron out of mischief for many a long day, that's for sure."

"In 2001 I asked Aaron to replace the 6 mm teak planking on the deck and cockpit. Aaron looked after the many details –such as unfair lines - which a professional finish requires. He also worked with the painters to make the result just right. There can be many problems with such teak decks - and I had no problems then or in the four years since."

Blue Riband - restoration

"Aaron initially took on the task of replacing the teak deck of Blue Riband. This unfortunately turned into a much more extensive job once the extent of wood rot had been established. The entire transom was rebuilt together with the deck structure and teak deck. Many other jobs were incorporated including building a swim board, new water and fuel tanks, electrical wiring, new power steering, shaft and propeller refurbishment, painting, new windows, etc

Aaron went out of his way to restore the boat using the original materials and construction techniques to retain its integrity. He welcomed our participation in the work and taught us a great deal about the art of a shipwright. He is an excellent shipwright and gives considerable confidence with his quiet advice and reasoning about the myriad of issues that arise.  He sourced all of the other trades required for the work and kept us informed of progress and costs. We have no hesitation in recommended the quality of his work and his experience."

"We bought a yacht that required serious refitting. Aaron approached the job like a professional, we always receive comments about his work during our travels, from the woodwork inside through to the cork decking on the outside. All are of superior workmanship and have made our life aboard most comfortable.

We found Aaron to be extremely professional, attentive, meticulous, responsive and helpful. He was always polite and knowledgeable, and best of all Aaron understood exactly what we wanted and completed the job on time.We found his work to be of the highest quality, never was a corner cut or the easy way out taken, this was observable in every aspect of the job. Aaron kept us informed every step of the way and he ensured that the projects ran on time whilst maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

We would not hesitate in enlisting Aaron's skills again."

"I engaged Aaron Woodall to undertake the major refit of Una ,a 12.5 metre grp power boat , and to supervise other trades on the project.

I found Aaron to be the complete craftsman. He set out the work program clearly and adhered to the schedule closely. When unexpected problems arose he suggested sensible alternative ways to meet the original objectives. The standard of his work was exemplary and where he supervised other trades working on the boat he ensured they met his high standards.

He was always prepared to answer my “owners” questions and explained technical issues fully and patiently; as a result I really enjoyed the refit process and feel I know the boat better.

When the project was completed I was completely satisfied and remain so."
